The winds last week were evident in the wild water.

I chose to ride upstairs with the kids coming home today.  I sat in a corner.   After watching for a while, I took out the camera.  The rain kept everyone inside.  It was an interesting experience.  Once again - glad those years are behind me.

No idea what the significance was/is - but I love the color. Not sure I've ever seen 

green masking tape before.

Sean took us around to see some of the abandoned buildings.  I can only hope 

money is found to renovate these amazing spaces so they can be put back into service.

Tuesday

Summer into Fall is taking on a whole new meaning.  Warm days, cool nights.  Hot days, warm nights.  The sun, getting low in the sky, glows white.  And now the return of humidity.  I am so much more aware of the weather working on an island, surrounded by water.

I'm not going up there.

SS Cape Chalmers arrived in the harbor this morning, escorted by 3 tugs.

Not sure where she was headed and why she's here.

Thursday morning.

Going home.

There is a high school on the island.  On the days I leave on the same ferry, 

I flash back to my days in high school.  So glad that's all behind me.
